Storms Dudley and Eunice
The Met Office has issued a warning across the UK as storms Eunice and Dudley are set to batter the country with 80mph winds. A yellow weather warning is in place this week in London, and residents of the capital will need to brace themselves for the oncoming storm.

According to Met Office chief meteorologist Paul Gundersen, the weather phenomenon is caused by an active jet stream that is "driving low-pressure systems across the country, both of which are likely to cause some disruption". The Met Office has put a weather warning in place for Friday (February 18) across London.

Storm Eunice is likely to hit London and the surrounding areas on Friday, with Storm Dudley affecting more northern regions on Wednesday and Thursday. The impact of Storm Dudley will be felt as far south as parts of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, but narrowly avoid London.

BE VERY CAREFUL OUT THERE !!!!!

Do any WHOers know anything about what you can claim for when you are without power for a prolonged period?
FWIW, I have already wiped my knob against various appliances.

I don't think women having the right to have an abortion (which I agree with) has exclusivity to the term PRO-CHOICE.

It's a good way of side-stepping my point, though.

'Also, it's astounding that people are still confusing ANTI-VAX with PRO-CHOICE. '

I guess it is but then again it's not a astounding as confusing ANTI-VAX which has to do with vaccines and PRO-CHOICE which is the right for women to have an abortion.

Gravity doesn't point South, except at the North Pole. "Down" in the UK is at angle of 30 to 40 degrees to "South", enough to notice.

Keepie-uppies would be a lot more difficult for a start.

Yeah, it's absolutely impossible to believe that the earth is round, and at the same time think that people should be allowed a choice of whether to be vaccinated or not.

Also, it's astounding that people are still confusing ANTI-VAX with PRO-CHOICE.

Look at a map of Italy. You see how it looks like a boot, kicking Sicily into the sea?

Well if the earth was round, Sicily would be rolling around.

That's SCIENCE, innit.

Alright, Mister Hoity Toity Science, if the earth ISN'T flat, then how come all the water doesn't roll around to Australia, then fall off?

Exactly!

Re: Storms Dudley and Eunice
If the Earth is flat, why doesn't all the air blow off the edge?

Because at the edge is the crystal dome within which the earth resides so the wind hits the dome and gets recirculated. Obvs.

, 2:59 Mon - As NR said but also the Jet stream is sitting right above us so literally a conveyor belt of shit weather.
Enjoy.

Leonard Hatred 3:31 - AG! It's funny how similar conversation goes with my friends who are anti covid/vax.
Starts off with that, then the bit about control, then it moves onto the weather etc
Apparently I don't know what's going on even though I've been doing weather stuff for over 35 years but mates who work in an office, electrician, work for a shop etc know whats going on with the weather!

Re: Storms Dudley and Eunice
These are artificial storms created by the new world order to distract people from the truth about the earth being flat.

I read it on Twitter

Re: Storms Dudley and Eunice
Unprecedented, Mr C? The Met Office only started naming storms in 2015. 😁

, 2:59 Mon Feb 21
Re: Storms Dudley and Eunice
Three consecutive named storms in less than a week is unprecedented to me.

Franklin whistled through Essex this morning and I’ve just been out to reset one of my sheds back into position ( it had taken a broadside from the gale ).
